monsterFranken Clown a smash hit

Friday morning, Putman's original play was put on for visiting schools and on Friday afternoon, Putman students were treated to the main performance.

Written by J. H. Putman Educational Assistant Damon Mitchell, Franken Clown pays homage to the classic universal monster movie but with a twist. Teacher-directors Mme Gallo and Ms. Doig worked tirelessly for months with two casts to make this production a show stopper.

P1030374Vice-Principal for a day contest raises funds for Humane Society

8C student Evan Sobey was Vice-Principal for a day recently.

As a result of seeing a presentation by the Ottawa Humane Society, a number of students decided to start a fundraising club in order to help our local Ottawa Humane Society. Every week, students gathered together to make posters, write announcements and brainstorm on future initiatives. Students also sold tickets to a raffle to be 'Vice Principal for a Day'.

Next year, they plan on creating a clendar of 'Putman Pets' to be sold in December.
